Give me Liberty or Give me Death.

I did it again on Saturday. I went looking for answers- for the verse or quote- for the song- for the word. I re-heally wanted something. I looked harder than I usually do, reading Galatians, Ephesians, my old songbooks....nothing. No epiphany.

Then I remembered Him.

And there He was, His sudden nearness filling me with a warm contentedness. Oh yes! You. You are the answer. So much so, that I forgot the questions. In this moment, You are all there is.

There is grace for all who come.

When the warmth faded with the onslaught of daily living, I had one idea ringing as a result of that weighty moment: Freedom.

We've been chosen to walk in Freedom- crucified and raised inside of Him! He is freedom. Outside of Him there are only shadows of liberty. Freedom is roaming about inside the fellowship of the Father and Son, and reveling with Him in the utter glory of who He is!

He says "Come anytime!" and He means it!

He really is Enough! Isn't He?
I had a thought the other day that comes to mind upon reading your blog...
...Freedom smells like pine trees at Christmas! like fresh cut grass in summer or the woods in the fall. I breathe Him in and I am intoxicated by His freedom!

Shadows all, yes but the intoxication is real. :)

Yes, he is all. When I once again realize what the longing is, I know that he is it! And when the son once again gives us himself, we are free indeed!

Very inspiring... a good reminder for me.

I tend to trap myself with the stuff of this earth (the stuff that's not crammed with heaven) ;) ... basically, I push aside His freedom for my own chains. How dumb is that?!

Thanks again for the reminder. :)

Amen! (which means "that is exactly the way that I want it.")
