A Good Weekend.

It consisted of scrapping and surprises. Come on. What could be better?
Mom and Alison and Jenny took me out on Saturday night to celebrate my birthday early, since Mom is going out of town. We went for Mexican, and then "had to be somewhere at 8."
Where was that somewhere?

The Bass Hall. and for what? Only something that would delight me no end!

A tribute concert to the one and only Ella Fitzgerald. My favorite. To say it was grand would be an understatement. Loved. The Bass Hall itself is so lovely- bright white and beige, with art deco styling that feels so modern, and yet classic. Beautiful.

Just missing Missy.
So on to the scrapping:

These are for Dares Number 54 and 55 respectively. My inspiration for this one was here
For Linda's Dare:
This is the final entry to Anja's CJ. It's being sent off tommorrow.

On a final note: I've been wanting to post this since Christmas. It is what Bill got for me. I wanted it so bad. I can't believe he found it and gave it to me. I love him so much. And I also love the necklace. :)

Good Mail Day

After dropping the kids off this morning, I mangaged to squeeze in a moment to mail a few thank you notes, a special treat for her, and some layouts headed for CHA.
I do wish I could be there to see it all.

And yes, folks, it's official. The DH has rubbed off on me, so much so, that when I walked into the post office and saw these, I HAD to have them. They are so bright and wonderfully super!!!

Can I just say how proud I am to know her? She is so genuinely funny. Love that.

Pretty Lame.

I haven't much to say, just felt like blogging.

I would love to post cool pictures, and inspirational links and use witty and pithy phraseology.

You'll just have to go here for that.

and SOMEONE's got a THING coming up on friday.....

I find I am tired in the evenings.

But so far I do like this job.

I've lost an hour in the mornings, so there is some rushing and a wee bit of shouting that goes down, but other than that, oh and the fact of missing two days at home with Emma, and having time with the kids in the afternoon, it's all good.

Bill makes good dinners. The one night I've cooked since I've worked was packaged crock pot pot roast (really annoying and redundant, but how else should I put it?) and it was NOT GOOD. I guess any time the meal requires the word "pot" twice you should have a clue about the outcome, no?

I like coming home and not cooking. I've NO complaints about that.

I've exercised 3 out of the last 4 days, and scrapped a layout last night, (not the one I NEEDED to do, mind you, but the one I WANTED to do.)

So now I'm scanning aforementioned layout to post here for your viewing pleasure. Some of you may recall this from my "day in the life" post.

It's uploading now.

Slow.....

I just remembered why I started taking pictures of layouts rather than scanning them.
Ehg.
But I'm out o' batteries.
That's on the list, along with returning shoes that were cute and comfortable and practical in the store, and came home and they were cute and killer, and as a result, not practical. I don't know how that works. It's WRONG.

This is all just lame.
Sorry kids.

I'm off to read The Diary of George Fox. I like him. Unafraid. Nonconformist. I think of the Quakers as quiet, gentle, behind the scenes sort of folks, but there was jail time and martyrdom for these people back in the day.

Life is so different now. For all of us.

we'reveryverybusy

Christmas in Florida was lovely. Lovely. (December kit from 3 Scrappy Boys)
and so was the wedding.

and the vacation was nice.

and I'm starting to catch up.

there are some layouts to be done very soon,

and today on my first day of full time in for-like-ever, I was still working at 8:00pm, and left the rest for the morning.

Now it is past my bedtime, and I still need to do laundry and make lunches.

Happy New Year!
