Tonight Bill said

"The new batman doesn't come out until 2012."

and I thought

"Huh. That'll be here like, tomorrow."

And I meant what I thought.

I am a busy bee these days.

I've historically been busy by choice,

but when May arrives, things tend to spiral out of control.

The good news is that all this extra stuff

is the signal for The End of Stuff.

Dance, Soccer, School, after School Events

Work, Work Events, Meetings

Awards, Parties, Practices

Blah Blah Blah.

All wrapping up in a little over a month

and my calendar goes blank.

Oh halleluiah

and I wonder how long it will take me to start filling it up.

For now, it is for me to embrace what each day holds.

Own it.

I've owned today. I made it mine.

I did all I had to do AND played tennis with my son

and vacuumed and got the kitchen and bathrooms clean.

My reward is a shower

clean sheets

and Glee.
